What can I bring to the recycling center?

No Plastic Bags, all recyclables taken to the Recycling Center must also be loose and unbagged.

  • Holiday Trees
  • Batteries
  • Cell phones
  • Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs (CFLs) - These bulbs are better for the environment
  • E-Waste - Free collection of New York State Covered Electronics. Effective October 1, 2015 fees for CRT devices (TV’s and monitors) will be: 
    • Less than 27 inches $15 
    • Less than 28 inches $40
    • Disposal Wednesday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Florescent Light Bulbs
  • Freon-containing appliances (e.g, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, and Dehumidifiers)
  • Gas Grill Canisters
  • Printer Cartridges
  • Scrap metal
  • Tires
  • Yard Waste
  • Other Items

Items Not Accepted at the Recycling Center

  • Construction Debris such as bricks, insulation, sheet rock and car parts
  • Plastic Bags
  • Styrofoam
  • Household Chemicals: can be taken to Westchester County Facilities (PDF)
  • Furniture
  • Garbage
  • Paint Cans(paint must be dried and left curbside with the tops off)
