What can I recycle curbside?

No Plastic Bags, place recyclables loose and unbagged.

Commingled Containers

Do Recycle:

  • Glass bottles - food bottles and jars, wine bottles, beer bottles (remove caps)
  • Metals - aluminum and tin cans, empty aerosol cans
  • Plastic - All plastic numbered 1 through 6

Do not Recycle:

  • All Styrofoam
  • Ceramics
  • Drinking glasses
  • Lightbulbs
  • Pesticide or solvent containers
  • Plastic bags of any kind
  • Plastic Plant Pots (even with a recycling number)
  • Pyrex
  • Toys, any plastic without a number
  • Waxed coated containers
  • Window panes

Paper

Do Recycle

  • Cardboard - broken down no larger than 4 feet by 4 feet
  • Newspaper and magazines - bundled and tied or in a separate paper bag
  • Other paper - any color. No need to remove staples. Separate into paper bag or recycling bin

Do not Recycle

  • Dirty paper plates and cups
  • Paper coffee cups, lids and straws and all egg containers (paper, plastic and styrofoam)
  • Paper towel cores
  • Pizza boxes
  • Toilet paper cores
