The New Castle Sustainability Advisory Board and Sustainable Westchester encourage you to sign up for GridRewards, a free program that will pay you to reduce your electric usage during peak times in the summer. Participants will be notified when GridRewards Events are about to occur through the GridRewards app and via email. These events occur on the hottest days of the summer when there is peak demand for electricity. Simply reduce your usage by turning up the thermostat, turning off unused devices and deferring the use of energy heavy devices like washers and dryers. At the end of the year get paid cash!
