Chappaqua Downtown Revitalization – April 12, 2019

As previously mentioned, over the last 2 weeks, we have installed new curbing, footings & electrical conduits for the new decorative light poles & sidewalks on Town Hall to the Shell Station (on the town hall side).  New curbing was also installed on North Greeley up to the Rite Aid parking lot.   Those areas have been graded & prepared for the pouring of the new sidewalk.  Installation of our new decorative light poles has started – from the library to Bell School. The trenches have been excavated for the sitting wall by Pizza Station. We started excavating around the triangle.

We are planning to install granite curb at the following locations, next week:

South Greeley, Pizza station to Citibank
South Greeley, Triangle at Route 120
South Greeley, Route 120 towards Lower King.
North Greeley, Post Office to Lower King (Opposite Susan Lawrence)

Installation of the sidewalks at the above locations are scheduled to begin on 4/22/19.

As far as lower King Street, excavation of the lower King is currently scheduled for 4/29 – this work will be done at night. However, since the concrete plants are only open during the day, curb and sidewalks will be day work.

We will excavate the sidewalk in front of Susan Lawrence after Easter as part of the lower king street excavation

In anticipation for little league parade, 5K/10k road race and Memorial Day Parade – all scheduled for May – temporary road paving to smooth the road and remove trip hazards is currently scheduled for 5/2/19 on upper King and South Greeley.
