Wireless Master Plan
Wireless Service in Westchester - We need your thoughts and opinions!
Now more than ever we rely on our cell phones for most everything that we do. This reliance has revealed concern regarding adequate service, particularly given topographic challenges that characterize our backyards. New Castle is fortunate to be part of a multi-jurisdiction study regarding wireless coverage throughout our town. CityScape, the consultant hired through Westchester County, is working on a Cooperative Wireless Telecommunications Infrastructure Master Plan in conjunction with the Towns of Bedford, Pound Ridge, Yorktown, North Salem, Lewisboro, Mt. Kisco and now us. As part of the Master Plan there is a survey that attempts to gauge residents’ use patterns and preferences for different types of cell tower designs and structures, such as non-concealed macro tower facilities, concealed macro towers, base stations and small wireless facilities. The survey concludes with a section where residents can write in suggestions or comments regarding cell towers and cell service. Your input is important and we ask you to please take a moment to complete this brief SURVEY. We seek to learn more about where residents do the majority of their work, the wireless services and providers they use, and how they would characterize the quality of the wireless network coverage where they live, work and travel around town.
