MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Parking Permits expire: June 14
How do I obtain a parking permit and when do they expire?
Forms and instructions for obtaining parking permits are available from the Town Clerk's office or on this website. Restricted and Metered parking permits expire on June 14 each year. It's easy to renew -- just fill in the application, make sure to include photocopies of all current car registrations you want included on the permit (up to four cars per permit), and the driver's license of the person applying for the permit, and mail it in with a check covering the fee by May 15. Completed parking permit applications submitted on or before May 15 will be available for pickup the week of June 1.
What is the difference between Restricted and Metered Parking Permits?
Restricted Permits allow you to park at any time in the Chappaqua Commuter lot. The Metered permits are allowed only in designated meter spaces.
Can non-residents obtain a Parking Permit?
Yes. Residents living in areas abutting the Town are eligible to apply at the beginning of the permit year through a lottery system, which distributes a limited number of non-resident permits.
I work in Town and want to park all day. Is a permit needed?
Yes, almost all parking is two hours. Obtain a parking permit to be able to park all day.
