PUBLIC NOTICE TOWN OF NEW CASTLE

announceNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN  that the Town Board of the Town of New Castle will conduct public hearings with regard to allowing retail uses in office parks under certain conditions and particularly with regard to a proposal by SG Chappaqua B LLC ("Applicant") for retail development and redevelopment at its Chappaqua Crossing property, the former Reader's Digest site, located in the Town of New Castle, Westchester County, generally east of the Metro-North Harlem Division railroad line and Saw Mill River Parkway, north of Roaring Brook Road, and west of Bedford Road/NYS Route 117 and Cowdin Lane, and designated on the tax map of the Town of New Castle as #93.9‑1‑1, #92.12‑2 1; #93.9‑1‑7,  #93.9‑1‑8; #93.9‑1‑9, and #93.9‑1‑10 ("Property").  One public hearing will be on the Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement ("DSEIS") prepared by the Applicant under NYS Environmental Conservation Law §8‑0109 and New York Codes, Rules, and Regulations, Title 6, Section 617.9.  Other public hearings will be on Town proposals to amend the Town Development Plan in relation to the retail use of property in the Town's Research and Office Business zoning districts and to amend the New Castle Town Code to add a new Section 60‑360 and attendant zoning schedules to allow retail uses in the Town's Research and Office Business zoning districts, including the Property, under certain conditions.  Another public hearing will be on the Applicant's petition for modification of some of the retail zoning provisions in the proposed Town Code Section 60‑360, for a zoning amendment to apply the modified proposed Town Code Section 60‑360 zoning to a portion of the Property, and for concept plan approval for retail development of that portion of the Property under the modified proposed New Castle Town Code §60‑360.  The Town Board will open and concurrently hold the public hearings on April 23, 2013, in the Assembly Room, New Castle Town Hall, 200 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua, NY 10514, at 7:00 PM or as soon thereafter as is practicable.

All persons interested will be heard at said time and place.  Statements by persons unable to attend may be in writing and filed with the Town Clerk.  Written statements concerning the DEIS will be accepted for at least 10 days after the close of the public hearing on the DSEIS, and written statements concerning any of the other subject will be accepted at or before the close of the public hearing on that subject.

announceNOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TOWN OF NEW CASTLE 

            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of New Castle will hold a public hearing to consider a proposed local law  to amend  Section 123-9 of the New Castle Town Code to include residents who live within Parking District Number 1 within  the  Town  of New Castle for Merchant parking permits. The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 7:45 pm or as soon thereafter as is practicable in the Assembly Room of Town Hall, 200 South Greeley Avenue, Chappaqua, NY 10514.

            All persons interested in said public hearing will be heard in favor or in opposition at said time and place. Statements by persons unable to attend shall be in writing and filed with the Town Clerk at or before the time for the public hearing.
